Aim & Purpose

We aim to represent and promote Bangladeshi culture at UIUC while fostering a supportive community for Bangladeshi-origin students, encouraging cultural exchange, and helping newcomers adapt and thrive academically, socially, and professionally.

The aim and purpose of this organization are:

To represent Bangladesh and Bangladeshi culture at UIUC
To promote Bangladeshi culture, traditions, and heritage through various initiatives that familiarize our beautiful country Bangladesh with the diverse UIUC community
To foster a sense of community among Bangladeshi or Bangladeshi-origin students within UIUC
To uphold the interests of Bangladeshi students, deal with their concerns, and take responsive actions that would be beneficial to the Bangladeshi Community as a whole
To nurture academic, professional, and social development of its members

We host Bengali songs, dances, and festivals like International Mother Language Day and Pahela Baishakh to celebrate our heritage.
